How it works

How a job runs, from first contact to final walkthrough

Every project follows the same five steps, so you always know what comes next.

  1. You get in touch

Send the form or email us. Tell us what you need and roughly when.

  2. We visit the house

We look at the job, measure, and ask the questions that affect the price.

  3. You get a written estimate

An itemized scope and price, with allowances shown for anything not yet chosen.

  4. We do the work

One person keeps you updated. Your home is protected and the site cleaned daily.

  5. We walk through it together

We check the finished work with you and finish anything on the punch list.

The way we work

What every Parkhill job includes

These aren’t extras. They’re how we run every job.

  • A written estimate and scope

You see what’s included, what isn’t, and what each part costs before you agree to anything.

  • One point of contact

One person runs your job from the first visit to the final walkthrough, and answers your questions.

  • Your home protected, the site cleaned daily

Floors and furniture covered, dust kept to the work area, and everything tidied at the end of each day.

  • Permits handled where the work needs them

We apply for the permit and schedule the inspections, so you don’t have to deal with the paperwork.

  • A walkthrough when we’re done

We go over the finished job with you, list anything that needs attention, and finish it.

Questions

What homeowners ask us first

Straight answers to the questions we hear most. There are more on the FAQ page.

Read all questions
What happens after I request an estimate?

We get back to you to talk through the job, then arrange a visit to see it. After the visit, you get a written estimate. Nothing is agreed until you’ve read it and said yes.

How do you price a job?

From what we see on the visit. Your estimate lists each part of the work. Anything you haven’t chosen yet, like tile or fixtures, is shown as an allowance so you know what’s assumed.

What if you find something unexpected?

Older houses hide things: rot, old wiring, earlier repairs. If we find something, we stop, show you, and give you a written price before doing anything extra.

Can we stay in the house during the work?

Usually, yes. We seal off the work area, protect the floors on the way in, and clean up every day. If staying isn’t practical for part of a job, we’ll tell you before it starts.

Do you handle permits?

Yes. Where the work needs a permit, we apply for it and schedule the inspections. If part of the job needs a licensed electrician, plumber or HVAC technician, your estimate says which parts and how they’re handled.
